About Us

Fossil Crates was founded in 2020 as a response to the COVID-19 museum shutdowns nationwide.  Pledging to "Bring the Museum Home", Dr. Brian Curtice assembled a team of paleontologists, museum specialists, and paleo artists to create a products that are educational and entertaining.  We did this by selling museum-quality casts of teeth and claws of prehistoric creatures.  The response was overwhelming, leading to the creation of numerous social media pages to share paleontological information.  The Paleo Portal is the culmination of nearly a year's worth of work and we believe it is the future of science!

Dr. Brian Curtice, dinosaur paleontologist, has studied dinosaurs on 6 continents and lectured all over the world. A sauropod specialist, Dr. Curtice is responsible for "eliminating" Ultrasauros, Dystylosaurus, and Seismosaurus, as well as demonstrating Supersaurus is the longest dinosaur yet discovered. Dr. Curtice is also an accomplished photographer who's images have appeared in numerous publications.
